i’m still a student!

I thought I should do some updates to this space. :P

1. I finished my final exams, (and hopefully pass all!)
2. I went for a 9 days Korea trip in May, 2 days after my last paper ended.
3. I wasted some time (in other words, slacked for two weeks after i’m back from Korea) before starting on my job hunt.
4. I went Hong Kong with the bf and some friends, and met Annabel and Vanessa for dinner in at WahFung, Central, HK.

Honestly speaking, when i first started looking for jobs, I got quite nervous because I see many jobs that I might be interested in but they require experience and I have NONE. Don’t get me started on how I regretted my decision in poly for not going for the 6months ATP.

I’ve been getting ideas on what to do. In fact, conflicting ideas at times. I don’t know who to listen to. Both are experienced in their own ways. Then, the boyfriend asked me what kind of jobs i’m looking for. I was stumped for a moment, then I replied him. Probably still unsure if that was what I wanted.

I met up with the girls for dinner one friday, at Crystal Jade for Korean food. I was talking to Daisy and she mentioned about the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) cert. It sounded interesting, especially when there’s some funding and instead of paying $6600, you only have to pay $660 for the first year. I went home and googled, and found more information and then went for a Preview talk held at Kaplan.
As much as I hate/dislike finance but it’s a paper that is worthy to take but NOT EASy. I mean, for level 1 the passing rate last year was 40% only! :( and there are 3 levels for it.
BUT it opens up more job opportunities definitely, and you can have the three little words, CFA under your namecard, resume etc etc. Yes i’m sold.

On the way home, I thought about my plans from then, and came up with a nice plan for my future. I hope it’d go as planned. So in the meantime, I’d try to get as much bank experience as I can, even if it means doing contract jobs and whatnot.

So yes, I’m still a student.
Hahaha. :)
