This time I’m so much cooler than before.. Used to him flying around perhaps. From Wallaby, to Japan, to Taiwan. lol.
And it’s a good time for me to concentrate on my dear notes, which I haven’t been doing faithfully! I was telling peixuan today, I’m feeling stressed that I’m not stressed up over the exams! How bad is that?

To all of our surprise, the table could fit in! Oh great! I kinda wondered why I didn’t try opening the table in my room beforehand. Oh wells, but that’s besides the point! haha.
So the rest came over to my place that night till the next morning. Lady luck wasn’t on my side though, but Tim was extremely lucky!

We met up in the late afternoon and made our way to Chinatown and of course, when we’re in chinatown we’ll always have a cup of Koi.
I decided to change the pearls to grass jelly since Daisy said it’s nice. The grass jelly came as a whole piece – not the normal grass jelly that’s already cut, and it filled half the cup! I would say, give it a try! I may be back for more grass jelly since most of the time I can hardly finish their pearls.

After the loss of my Omnia I’ve been using a hand-me down E51. Honestly speaking, it’s quite a good phone with wifi functions but of course, it isn’t as comprehensive and engaging as the Iphone/Itouch.

you’ve probably heard me saying that I don’t want to get an Iphone because the battery cannot last me through the day if i were to listen to music/play games/surf net. Today I just contradicted myself and am now a proud owner of the Iphone.

I am quite contradicting at times. Everyone seems to be switching over to the Iphone, and I’ve been interacting with it’s “sibling” long enough that I’ve grown to like it. I was thinking of a BB initially, but on second thoughts decided not to. The apple is more engaging, compared to the berry, and I definitely do not want to end up checking mails all the time (when I enter the workforce!)

the trusty E51 that stayed with me through the last 7 months (even longer than my 5 months old Omnia) will not be forgotten!

I don’t think I need to account for my actions, especially to you. It’s my home, of course I get to decide which part of the house I want to go to! Why bother so much. Keep in check your attitude first.

Anyway, I’m pretty excited about the HK trip. I really am!
Each day I’ll do alittle research on it.
We were deciding between Taiwan and HK. HK is much easier to navigate and to get around with public transport.
I doubt I have the time to research on TW. Getting around isn’t all that simple and it takes time.. etc etc. Besides, he hasn’t been to HK before.. soo…

I went HK when I was 9. I wasn’t at the age that I know how to shop. Going with parents meant that they’d go on tours. But I think they extended the trip. I remembered my uncle’s friend stayed there. We went up to their place, it’s beautiful.. we went to a restaurant for meal, fantastic food. Ladies street was a very vibrant place at night. My parents would buy lotsa CDs or isit cassette tapes then? I can’t remember but they seem to have made friends with the stall owner. I only know that I was stuck at that particular stall for very long!

Fast forward 9 years later, I visited HK again. It’s the first time I’m overseas with my friends. Imagine my excitement then.
I did intensive research, but I hadn’t start surfing forums yet so most of my information I got was from those HKTB, or from my cousin. While I was there, we stayed at this hostel. It was super small. Two single beds and I put my luggage standing upright, there’s no space to walk in between and the toilet is super small!

We went to this dim sum place for brunch. It was the old school kind, with decors of the 60′s. Lin Heung Tea House. I kept a copy of their namecard. apparently the name of this tea house never left my mind. It’s those kind where you watch TVB dramas when they go for tea. We got seated in a big table. they don’t have small tables for individual groups so you share your table. Waiters come by with a pushcart and you take what you want to eat. We learnt how to drink tea from the traditional cup with the lids on (You know, those cups that the emperors used to drink from?), thanks to this really friendly elderly couple who saw that we fumbled quite abit with the cup! They event treated us to a plate of dimsum. It’s not all expensive, and we even went back for brunch the next day!

one thing to note, their char siew bao is really delicious! hee, we didn’t manage to have them on the first visit. On the second visit thanks to Annabel cos she waited for the trolley right outside their kitchen that the chef or waiter took pity on her, and gave her a set of it. heh!

There was the Valentines’ Day and the Chinese new year.
Personally I’m not a big fan of the Chinese New Year.

My first Vday with Tim was a short one.
I got him Honey Liqueur from Vom Pass at ION Orchard.
Baking was out since I don’t have an oven and I just gave him a wallet for his birthday 2 weeks back.
His was rather special. He baked Double Chocolate Butter shortcake. (?) I can’t remember what is it called! Couldn’t find the camera cable so no pictures of it either. It was meant to be a surprise but I guess i spoiled it. (my bad/his bad)

I had more MJ khakis this year and the newly included members were Tim and Vannessa. hahaha!
Since there were three public holidays this year instead of the usual 2, the smurfies came over to my place on the Third day. Tim came over in the day and left around evening time cos the lucky boy is flying off to Japan that night.

Other than the festive season, all I spent was trying to study. I tried, really.
The progress is damn slow but better than none right! Having my prelims next week, and I don’t bear much hope that I’ll be able to do it. haa.. go to just scare myself.

Anyway definitely looking forward to the end of the exams. It marks the end of my education “career” (hopefully), but I’m afraid of the next phase as well. Just looking at Vannessa going for job interviews and waiting for results..

and I’m going to Korea like, 4 days after my paper ends!
Excited, I think i’ll be lugging back a luggage worth of skincare products with Skinfood, Etude house and Laneige! Not so big fan of Face shop but perhaps, my opinions will change when I’m there! haha.

I’ll be visiting Hong Kong as well! For the first time I can actually make in during July period – the sales period!
It’s the best time since it fits all our schedule but had to be back in SG by 5th Jul which is a spoiler cos ben has reservist!
After his reservist might be a little too late as well, all the orientations and whatnot may be starting soon for Tim.. ah wells.. but i better not complain. I should be glad to be able to squeeze at least four days in July.

December 2009 was a great one. There were many first-times in 2009 that I experienced.
I went Zoukout for the first time. chances of me going back again is quite low however.
The trip to Cameron Highlands, though it’s just a trip to our neighbouring country and not having to take a plane, it’s still very enjoyable. It was my first time entering a Casino when I was in Genting.

On the last day of 2009 / first day of 2010, I walked from Raffles place all the way back to Zion Road just because there wasn’t any taxis available (!!) and when I wanted to catch night rider outside Central, the crowd was crazy and every buses that came along were sardined-packed. Hence, the boyfriend initiated to drive me back but we had to go back to his place to get the car. Decided to walk towards his area and then try to get a cab but to no avail and before we knew it, we were back at his place.
On the way back, I saw a long queue waiting for TAXIS outside Zouk. Instead of the usual long taxi queue waiting for customers.

2009 is a year that’s full of bumps and I’m really thankful for the people around me.
2010 is a year that could probably be even more challenging. I’m waiting to see what happens.

Birthday parties – weidong and Vanessa; Nicholas’. Both were great, with much alcohol involved.. I love the serviced apartment where vern held hers.

There was the ODAC bazaar for two weeks which ended last friday, 13th Nov.
We kinda trapped ourselves, stupidly, by putting the gazebo right in the middle of the courtyard and when it rains, we don’t have any shelter to anywhere. lol. and it rained quite abit while we had the booth.
There were game machines as well, and i think half the profits were contributed by ODAC.

Extreme Trail X’s signup rate is darn good, I feel.
I went for recces for the last two weeks, and each week I get burnt even though I applied sunblock! What is this. hmmpf. I’ve got ugly tanlines now, and I really mean ugly because they are at .. ugly places? okay it doesn’t make sense at all. Both Sundays were exceptionally long!

And recently, I’m receiving tons of bad news. Seems like each piece of news that comes by my ears aren’t good at all, and I’m extremely disheartened to hear all these, and I’m afraid and very sadden in fact.

My mind’s constantly preoccupied with stuffs, even though sometimes they are not but I would love to switch it off. I can hardly focus on anything. Give me a corner by myself and i’ll gladly be there. Other than with familiar faces, I don’t wish to talk more than I should. I’m more jumpy, easily irritated.
I’ve got more pent up emotions, more than you’d think.

Deep within, it’s crying and lost.
